Discounts off MSRP in Toronto area?
Just wondering what kind of discounts people are getting in the Toronto area. I was quoted max. $1000 to $1500 off MSRP for a loaded 2009 C350 4Matic at M-B Mississauga (and minimum 3 months delivery). Sales guy claims the vehicles are in high demand so there is not a lot of incentive to discount prices.

That is the same thing I was told, so I moved on....
Are you looking at a purchase or a lease
try the Barrie MB instead, they got me what I wanted, and it was all over the phone and a few emails, and it was such a nice drive back to Mississauga from Barrie when we picked up the car, they offered to bring it down to me, I declined....
If you want contact info, send me a PM
I have no affiliation with this place, just found a great deal, a dealership willing to negotiate, and after all said and done, they even threw in the winter mats for nothing......
by the way, mine is a lease....

I ordered my car at the end of July, before the long weekend. Arrived Sept 30. Took 1K off MSRP. Leased. My dealership is part of the GTA amalgamated ones.
I did drive by the Vaughan dealership - on Jane street just north of Vaughan Mills with 3 white 300s on the lot.
Maybe give them a shout and see what you can do to unload them.
Try Barrie and maybe Victoria Star Motors - a large dealership in Kitchener.

i got a good deal from MB Mississauga.
but in all honesty you have to "work for it"
I'm not saying the OP did this but, i dont think any dealership will take you seriously if u walk in and say "what discount do i get?"
as much as some of us hate it, buying a car is like a game....
fight for the price you want, if you get it, you win... but you gotta play the game
my $0.02

Absolutely agree - it is a game - you have to play a little poker, be willing to walk (or pretend to anyway).
This was my 2nd visit and 2nd test drive (1st time alone, 2nd with my better half) and we talked seriously about price. He offered $1k (or the equivalent in terms of monthly payment reduction) without pushing too much, we counter-offered the equivalent of about $4k off. He didn't tell us we were nuts, in fact asked if we were prepared to do the deal that day he would take it to his manager - you know the drill. We didn't have the time to get into the usual offer/counter-offer that day due to other commitments. We'll be going back as well as checking other dealers. I figure if we get to somewhere in between we should be doing OK.

I got a demo and saved the PDI/Freight nonsense. But only got $1000 off. Ask about the "company car program" If your company has a car incentive you can get $1000.00 off

Thanks for the tip, but I don't get a car allowance, so this won't help me. Sales guy actually asked me about whether I get a car allowance, but didn't tell me why.

C'mon guys - I know there must be more C owners in the GTA on this board.
So far I've been in contact with MB Mississauga, MB Oakville Autohaus, MB Barrie. Best deal so far is $1000 off MSRP on a loaded '09 C50 4M (for a 36 month lease) - anyone get better than that?
(shameless bump)

I don't receive a car allowance either, but as long as your company has one I believe the incentive applies, I guess they hope you will spread the good word about the product.
BTW...the product rocks. I love it. I took a $5000.00 hit dumping my Lexus and I don't regret it a bit.

Nice info from CarCostCanada. Can't believe the GTA dealers are making $5000 on each W204 they sell. They've got the market cornered and they are milking everyone for it.

I just wanted to bump this thread .. I'm looking at a C230 4MATIC. I visited one of the GTA dealerships today for a test drive and was told that it would be a long wait for delivery. Haven't started to talk price yet, but it's discouraging to hear that GTA dealers are hesitant to provide any substantial reductions.
