Problems Resetting Service Indicator.
I cannot reset the A Service Indicator. It has always been a little hit or miss but now it will not operate at all.
I am :-
1. Closing the door.
2. Key in first position.
3. Hold down phone answer button then OK button.
Any help appreciated.

theinmore,
Thank you for the link & advice. I am still having no luck & have tried it a doz times .
Taking it into town tomorrow so will see if a run resets anything.
The most difficult part of doing an A Service is resetting the *#@*ing Service indicator!!!
What are the next messages when the service is overdue?

I called into a MB service technician today. He stated that I could not reset the Service Indicator myself when the 'Service Due' message is showing. It will need a workshop to connect to their computer to reset at a cost of $20.
I noticed that I could reset the A Service indicator if I had wished whilst there were "A Service Due in 5 days".
This sounds distinctly like a revenue raising excersise by MB.
I have booked into the dealership where I bought the car to have a little waranttee work done so hope that they will do the reset free of cost !! ( Scottish Heritage)

Hi Carsy,
Something worth trying. On my car, the two buttons that have to be pressed have to be pressed within milliseconds of one another, but not at the same time. I also had trouble with mine until I figured out the "technique".
Phone button then OK button, within a blink of each other. Does that make sense?
Regards,
Paolo
