I'm so cold
Well my car was in the shop on Tue and Wed. It went in for an inspection and to fix a problem with the washer fluid indicator. They give me an 09 sport 4Matic in silver as a loaner. I get a call from my SA saying they couldn't finish on Tues as they had to order a washer so keep the loaner. Good thing since it snowed here on LI tue and the 4Matic is great in the snow.
Well I pick the car up wed night and drive home all of 10 minutes. This morning my outside thermometer shows -7 it is cold, it is also thur so I have to drive my wife to work this is about a 40 minute drive. Hop in the car start her up and turn on the seat heaters. After driving for a few minutes I notice NO HEAT. The blower is not blowing and it is so cold in the car the windows were icing up. Pulled over and shut off the car thinking maybe it was a computer problem. No good still NO HEAT. Thank God for seat heaters, I drop the wife off and head to my AD which is about 30 minutes away. SA goes out to look at the car after I told him NO HEAT and he comes in and says the blower isn't blowing, didn't I say NO HEAT. He doesn't see anyway that his service guys couyld have caused this and it must just be a coincidence. I'm set up with a loaner 08 Lux and I hope it will be fixed today. I am still trying to warm up. |
-7 and no heat, man that's gotta suck. Of course it is only 14 degrees in Atlanta...and this is supposed to be the "deep" South. So much for global warming.
Hope they don't disable something else up while they are repairing the blower! |
Here in Pittsburgh near zero minus -14 wind chill. That dam Groundhog said six more weeks!!!!!! Oh for the love of heated seats for they have such a tail to tell:eek:
Seriously I hope it gets resolved quickly. This is too cold for anyone. |
Just heard from my SA the blower motor is shorted and needs to be replaced. None in stock so it won't be done till tomorrow. Good thing the loaner has good heat.

FYI...the washer fluid sensors in these cars are unbelievably sensitive. there is too much alcohol content in the washer fluid and it causes the sensor to throw errors. cut the fluid with a little mineral water, the light will go off and you won't have to waste time at the dealership! can't help you with the blower motor but yesterday, in Boston, it was about 8 degrees and mine sounded like it was struggling too...great.

Meanwhile, here in the west coast it hovers around the high 70s.
