Cost of oem 18 inch amg style wheel ?

I went to the dealer and parts dept told me they can no longer get 18 oem parts. And. Was wondering if there were anyone who would know how much it cost. I have 17 at c350 sports but want to get 5 spoke 18
Thank you in advance

That would be odd if they are really unavailable, they are still being sold on the '09 models.

Someone on ebay is selling a front and rear rim + tires for $999. Include the TPMS too. Might be worth checking out if you need a new rim.

My dealer said they are "cost prohibitive" as an accessory now...I guess you can only get them as an option from the factory.

That makes sense. The stealers, I mean dealers usually ask for full retail price, if not more.

So many people upgrade their rims, it seems you can always spot a set for sale somewhere.

found a website with good pricing!

hey brothas, I am currently searching for a replacement rim too. The sites that are provided above run around 700-850. Then I found this http://www.detroitwheelandtire.com/p...ar=&model=1016
I know, it says recondition for the style IV rim, but it only cost $350! I was wondering if any of you guys heard about this site and if they are legit?

TIA

They have always been cost prohibitive but MB never came right out and said so. What about the rest of their overpriced stuff?

Regardless, what about crash parts?

i don't believe it.

watch out for crash parts, you never know if they are still up to spec, even if they don't show any signs of visible damage...............

Crash parts means parts ordered from MB to replace damaged parts whether it's a wheel or a door. MB still sells parts for cars that are nothing but a memory. At a price, of course.

Therefore, the wheels will still be available.

Wrecking yard pieces are another matter

This is a bit out of date, but when I bought a set of 18s two years ago, dealer retail for four was about $3400 and I paid $2300.

Don't forget that tires have to be purchased also. Try as you will, those 17s just won't stretch over 18s.

A good excuse to get rid of the Continentals, though.
