Are we talking about the new ones? Slk. No longer a chick car, and the luxury amenities on it are awesome. Hardtop convertible with magicsky? Totally sick. Plus with some blacking out and mods it could look plenty aggro. As for performance/handling I saw a comparison between it, a boxer, and a Z series, and the conclusion was it was the perfect blend between the two.

The SLK is hands down a beautiful looking car & having a drop top is a major plus.
The dealerships are running great offers on the C350 coupe, whereas the CLK is more expensive. It's not that I can't afford it, just whether its worth the extra money..

While I completely disagree with the recent review of the m3 coupe vs the c63 coupe in car and driver (i think it was them), the one statement that the car kind of looked like a honda accord coupe holds true for me (at least in profile). Despite even being the more aggressive looking c63, the fender flaring is still not significant enough to balance out the "long" look of the car that the door and long space behind the door prior to the fender lend to it. I find this to be even more true with the C coupe "clk". The SLK looks like it was built from the ground to be a coupe. The only c coupe with a "real" coupe looking body in my opinion is the Black Series due to its huge fender flares and wider track.
If you don't have kids, go with the roadster. Besides, less passengers, less weight I could not afford a SL, but the new slk is so sharp now that I wouldn't cry at night knowing I had the SL's little brother.

2012 C63 AMG
I'd consider the C63 if you are looking at the SLK350. Up here, the price was almost the same. Then it comes down to what you are looking for. I was considering the new SLK as well before I picked up my C63. The interior is gorgeous as it took inspiration from the SLS and the interior lighting is pretty neat. Exterior is much more aggressive and masculine than before. The MagicSky option is pretty cool, I'd definitely check that option off if I was going to get it. What put me off was the cost of the car (with magic sky, premium pkg, COMAND, and KeylessGO, it was more than my C63) and the possibility of future creaks from the PRHT. Coworker has a 5 year old SLK and every time he went over a bump or break in the road, you could hear the roof make some creaking sounds. They might have improved on this in the new MY12. Also, the trunk space is quite minimal but that's to be expected in a roadster. Good luck!

C350, while the SLK is a beautiful car, it's just too small and I just cant picture a male driving one everyday unless it is the AMG of coarse.
