Different Instrument Cluster on 2009 sport?

Different Instrument Cluster on 2009 sport?
Noticed that all the 07 and 08.s sport models have the regular Avantgarde "flat" style instrument cluster, whilst the 2009 model has the C63 style cluster.

I noticed this in our car exhibit here at work yesterday, question is, if the US models are different..

2013 C300 Sport Black Darth V3.0
US got the hooded cluster in '09 and I believe it is in both the sport and lux. I know my brothers Lux has them and I have gotten '09 sport loaners with them.

late 2009 CLK 350 Coupe Elegance, '65 Jaguar S Type wires
In ROW 2009 Classic, Elegance & Avantgarde have the hooded cluster. MB websites however have still to catch up. They are a real mixture at present.
