Nothing compares to white at dusk and at night. I hated dealing with my black cars. Never again.

I have had my lifetime fill of black cars. One.

If it was not dirty it was at least dusty and every bug near the road would fly toward it in kamikaze fashion.

I really don't think it was ever clean (to my standards) for a whole day. I hated it.

Now, I have had many white cars and unless they are filthy from weeks of rain and mud, they look clean. Dusting them is not really necessary because you cannot see it and it always looks really sharp.

Lightbulb Correct lighting conditions

I believe any colour choice will look excellent given correct lighting conditions for that shape/colour. I chosen calcite white and found the car has excellent cuves lookind downwards on it in evening under a street light, from a balcony parked at opposite side of the road with light from front above, and looking leftwards to it.

I chose white in the poll (even though i have silver) because lately I have seen a few white C's that really stood out in the streets. White cars never caught my eye before
but black can look good too when everything is blacked out like Ron Jrs.
but then the c looks great in every color even red

I am VERY OCD with my cars...so even a little dust drives me crazy. When I had my black car I'd spend hours washing and waxing it...go inside...come back outside a few hours later...and the car had dust all over it.

Never again...plus I think black hide all the lines of the car

White or nothing

We spent very little time in deciding, as soon as we saw the car in white, and it was in line with just about every other color, we picked the white, and didn't give any other colour a second look.....

I have a different view about Black. The lines of the car do show and a California Duster will take care of "coming outside every few hours" to fret over how the car looks. You don't get more dust than in the Las Vegas desert and I have no problems with it. Many remark how do you keep your car looking showroom clean... the answer is California Duster.

As far as the line showing here are a few images in Black showing the lines of the C Class pretty well. But all color choices are personal and preferences vary... but in the end the C looks good in any color

NJ -- I think OB makes the world of difference... I would pay the extra $1000 for the metallic flakes.

Not really. My SL550 was the normal black and always looked great. I had two white S Class models and I agree white does not show the dirt and I could go weeks without a wash. But black does take a little more attention and when clean and dust free, is stunning.

WOW Gatekeeper, that is one nice C. I saw a couple white C's recently without tint and they looked good. BUT with dark tint like your car, it looks BOMB What % do you have? is it all around (front and back) or staggered (front lighter than back)?

I think that metallic makes a WORLD of difference. I have a black IS250 right now and even when brand new, didn't shine like yours does. Black is a nice color, but in SoCal its a PITA to keep clean. My car has swirls and scratches everywhere

Thanks for the compliment !!!!

It's 25% all the way around, I tried the 35% on the front and 25% on the rear doors and back but did not like the two tone look, so took off the 35% and put 25 on the front doors as well..

You can take a look here for some more pics of the car, if you wish....https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-nice-day.html

Cheers

I am in Canada, Ontario, just outside of Toronto

we have limits on tint as well, but worst case is they tell ya to peel it off, and issue you a ticket....

all my cars have been tinted, fortunately, have never had a ticket for the tint....on any of them, guess they don't mind my tint's and my rides....

Lucky you haha...in LA its guaranteed that you'll get a ticket for anything...in my city the cops are pretty chill, but go to any major city and you're screwed up the butt.

C220d Estate Avantgarde, Obsidium black, command, factory tint. MB CLK240 Iolith Blue / Pebble-Gone

Hi,

I picked up my obsidium black estate last night - the other plus is that it really shows off all the chrome around the sills, the roof racks (again I remind I have the wagon) and ESPECIALLY the grill. Park black, white, silver, palladium and that thing of beauty they call the grill stands out like nothing else on the black.

What car care product do you use Nevada as your car shines like mine but mines brand new???

Why did MERC chose white car for their advertising mostly for the W204 and blue for the B170 facelift.I like the white C and the blue B170.Shapes and lightning plays a role in choice.

White is nothin more than a fashion thing. I admit it looks good but it is no match for a detailed black car. But black is the worst color to keep clean (it stays clean for about 10 minutes). That's why we went for grey, yay!

Thanks. I use a local car wash usually about once every two - three weeks or so and in between the Cal Duster. LV is very dry so rain spots and such are not a problem. I don't have any special cleaners and I will have the car detailed every year or so. My C is only 2 months old but my other black cars looked great as they got older.

As far as the appearance in pictures I use Photoshop and tweak the images to get the most out of the black features of the car. The pictures will not reveal some of the minor surface dust or dirt most of the time. But that aside, a black MB is a sight to behold...

Best to keep both, black and white. Nothing match their beautiful contrast when stand side by side.
