HELP..side marker not lighting up

I decided to try the resistor trick with LED today..unfortunately it didn't work and the LED wouldn't light up at all. So I gave up and put the original bulb back in..but it doesn't light up at all. Anyone know what's wrong?? The wires seem to all be fine..

Hmm..I don't know about the fuse. Do you think I should ask the dealership? Or is it possible my warranty will get voided because I messed with the wiring? I've read that in another thread once..

Do you have pictures of the wire and your 'resistor trick'?

Maybe a voltmeter to see if there is still current? Check the manual for fuse diagram also...

The 'resistor trick' I read about on got_thang's DIY on LED conversion. I will take pictures tomorrow and post them.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll see if I can get my hands on a voltmeter.

I've tried that too..put the bulb in both ways multiple times. I've tried it with different bulbs so it's not because the bulb is burnt out or anything. I don't know, I'm stumped as of now.

So I just went downstairs to take some pictures... then out of no where the side marker starts lighting up again. It's weird, cause then the other side wouldn't light up, but after turning my engine off and on it lit up again. What a mystery.. but at least they both light up now! Thanks guys for the input!

Just curious, when it didn't light up did you get an error message on your display?

When it didn't light up there was an error message displayed..as I guess the bulb wasn't sensed as being in place.

It happened to me also. When you put in a LED and the car does not like it, it does not light back up the regular bulb until you turn off the car and then turn it back on. The first time it happened to me, I freak like you did...
