Drill holes in the Exhaust
hey i have a C350 and i bought a used C63 AMG muffler on ebay, but its not loud enough. will drilling holes into it make it louder? if i drill a couple of 3/8 inch holes into the pipe right before it connects to the muffler, will it be louder? has anyone drilled holes into their exhaust or muffler? thanks

Don't do it, just remove the resonator and install an X pipe.

how loud do you want it to be??
how about straight up deleting the whole system. you just need to disconnect the headers from the rest of of the system. fairly easy job and i've seen ppl do it

Leaking exhaust fumes can enter the car interior & cause drousiness or death ie Carbon Monoxide.

how thefock can exhaust fumes enter the car from a tiny hole? YOU are dumb because by the time the fumes make it into the car (which they wont) they will be diluted with other gases, including oxygen. CO is lethal in CONCENTRATED doses.

as u can see by the responses, its not advised u drill holes... u drive a mercedes, dont be drilling holes into it.

x-pipe cost me $300 CDN in with labour, some as low as $150,
u can afford AMG exhaust tips but not an x-pipe?
