MT shift knob - has anyone chamged it?

Lookin for ideas. I think the plastic factory knob looks cheap. I've found auto replacements but nothing for the 6-speed.

i think Brabus sells some. Azn_C300 has a badass Alcantara one - which I'm sure there's a MT version of. only problem is that i think they sell for around $300.

or just get any after-market knob and stick it on. here's mine.

Brabus one is actually leather. You can't get the Alcantara one anymore unless you find someone selling it used. They include multiple top caps that you can put on depending on what you drive. They have the "B" one for us automatics, and they have the gear shift one for the manual.

Yes, it is pricey, but imo, it's the best looking shifter out there. Feels like cast iron, good weight for throws.

it definitely looks nice (elegant, yet aggressive at the same time). but i think it would cramp my hand holding it for an extended period of time. [ i'd still get it tho if it was .20 of the price =]

also, i just noticed, but the knobs for AT don't have a "trigger/release" button for shifting. so i'm assuming the knobs for AT/MT are interchangeable..?

Yes they are (as far as I know). I'm using an aftermarket knob that was meant for a MT on my auto.

If you want alcantara, just keep an eye out on the classified sections. There was one I saw maybe 4 months ago that I think ended up selling for $300ish. You could try hitting parts store that deal in brabus and hope they have an extra one on stock or had a return. Doubtful you'd find one that way cause most just place an order with CEC after they get a buyer.

thanks. if you ever see one let me know.
