Email in 09 C class?

Hey Im new to the forums and did some searching with no luck. I have an 09 c200 I just bought in Japan and it can do english. I noticed that under the telecom tab in the navi menu you can choose email and it seems that it works like outlook. I guess you are supposed to use your cell phone to download it because under the account tab it asks for provider and want to know phone number id and password, along with things like DNS setting and proxies. Anyone have any idea how to set it up or have had success with it. It is even available in the American models?

Thanks in advance.

Try finding instructions from Docomo web site, if you can set up the phone for their email, you should know the settings requested by your car. And yes, you would have to have the phone providing internet connectivity.

Your AD should be able to set this up. As far as I know it is not available here in the US.

What is your build date? According to WIS this feature should have been discontinued from MY 2009 onwards.

Do you have your phone email set up for Softbank then? I believe DNS and proxy are for i-mode browsing (Docomo invented i-mode, their trade mark too, nothing to do with Apple and iPhone most likely cannot do i-mode browsing (obsolete for you because you would prefer normal internet browsing anyway which all "Western" phones can do).

But the interface may still be Docomo specific and it might be that non-Docomo phones would not support these Comand features.
