Anyone running a 265/35 R18 on OEM rims

Just curious, does anyone run a 265 series tire on OEM staggered 18's? If so, any rubbing issues or anythign like that?

anyone?

I assume you want to do this for cosmetic reasons and not for any kind of performance gain....your mileage and ride and handeling will suffer. I cannot address the rubbing concern.

Should be fine. I ran a 275/35 last summer on my C63 wheels and had no problems other than my car felt sluggish. It's a tall tire so slows you down.

I bought new tires this spring, and went back to stock size. I did consider trying the 265/35 rears but in the end I didn't want to do anything to diminish the performance.

Strange, I gained handling with 265, I plan to go 275 next time.

I don't want to speak for vpdfan, but I think what he meant was by increasing the unsprung weight, you are deteriorating the ride quality since the suspension has to work a little harder. Generally speaking, on our (non-amg) cars, wider tires are mainly for show since traction is not an issue if you have quality tires.

When I went from P-Zeros to F1 Asymmetrical tires this year my handling improved a lot.

Will a 255/35/18 tire fit on a 9.5 inch rear wheel?
