Did you ever resolve the issue of it going down about an inch? I am having the same problem, auto up doesnt work on driver window and once it hits the top while holding the up button I release and it goes down a bit, I have to pull it up to close it completely again...

I believe you recalibrate it by putting the window all the way up and then holding the window up button not all the way up for it to be auto but manual up for about 5 seconds.

Amazingly it started to work!!! not sure why but it did. Had an appointment for that and the A/C smell at the dealership and by time the appointment came, it worked. Weird but good.

I know this is old, but maybe will help someone as it just did for me. The re-set wasn't working, I tried a few times from my work parking lot. Decided to take a break and tried a few hours later on my way to lunch. Sure enough, I held the front driver and passenger windows up in the "first" position and it re-set so my drivers' side auto-up now works. I probably tried the re-set 5 times before giving up this morning, holding from 10-30 seconds. Maybe the car just needed a long re-set.

Side note, love this forum. It helped me solve another issue I had with my drivers' side seat coming off the tracks. I'm a mid thirties mom and not car savvy at all. My husband scheduled an appointment with the MB dealer and I was so proud I fixed our issue before needing to waste that time, twice! I guess he's too lazy to use the internet, but it makes me feel good to save $$$ on things that are apparently really easy fixes. :D

I had the same problem. Go into your car. Turn your car on and pull up all 4 window tabs and hold them for about 10 seconds. That should reset the windows. No need to take it to the dealer.

WORKED LIKE A CHARM and saved $125.00 the dealership wanted to charge to reset system.
