So right now I'm running 4 different tires with 4 different treads on my car. what kind of tires are you all running?? Im thinking of getting a set of Hancook Ventus V12s which are like 400 for the set.

I am running on Pilot sport 2, have to say they feel really great, the tire weight makes so much difference, my take off and braking has improved dramatically, wet performance is much better than my the original tire my car came iwth

@zankok: Thanks for the link! it rly breaks things down a lot easier. I dont really need to worry about wet performance too much cause I'm in the part of the bay area that never rains haha. lucky me
@imboom: Those tires are sick but waaaay out of my price range haha I'll def consider them in the future though when I have more money lol how much did you get your set for? I'm looking at them online and they are like 200 each T_T 2x as much as the Hancooks I'm looking at.

I just went on tirerack to see if I got screwed and my front tires are showing up $137 a piece and the rears $181 a piece..so even more expensive than when I bought
front: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....n&autoModClar=
rear: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....n&autoModClar=
Where'd you see $400 for the whole set?

Michelin PS2's on W203 & W204 - They are best performer all round on these cars & quiet! New PS3 has yet to be proven. PS2 is the benchmark.

I think it is cos of the construction method PS2s used is more costly, the Michelin showed me a comparison of the inside of the tyre, PS2s looks similar to Contis and F1s, while PS3s look like the rest of the other average performance tyres, and I hand weighted them, PS3s r much, much more heavier.
and I was going to run staggered setup, if I used PS3s my front would be w rated and and rear would be Y rated, eventhough I don't drive it to the speed the tyres could go to, for the same size PS2s offer higher rated tyres, so I could get off with Y rated all round.
I regretted a lot actually, i could of gone with the PS3s because it is not like I will use to the maximum potential of these tyres, and I could save abit more on a set of newer, "internet sayz its better" tyres. :/

I would listen to Michelin long before crap written on the internet. Things like tyres, dampers & brakes that effect handling & stopping can never be too good.
With the weak dollar you need to look at where the tyres come from. German & French manufactured Michelin tyres are expensive - PS2's etc. made in Brazil are just as good but cost less.

At 44k miles (right now) I had to replace my original Michelins... Interestingly enough, the stock tires were only rated somewhere around a 5 from tirerack, so I picked up Pirelli PZero Nero Ultra High Performance All Season Run-Flat tires. I could have done the non run-flats, but I like the added peace of mind that in the case of hitting some debris or who knows what here in Jersey, I may be able to not only maintain control of the car better, but still limp along without being stranded at 2AM... I've had them all of a weekend, and so far they have handled incredibly well in the rain and dry weather. Not too noisy, I'd say a bit more quiet than the Michelins were, and overall very pleased!

I just bought my PS2s while PS3 was out just recently, PS2s cost significantly much more than PS3s, Michelin told me PS2 is still the best performer Michelin has to offer, PS3s are just replacement of Preceda 2 or something of another kind, but after i did a bit of research online the PS3s seem to out perform PS2 in the wet while in dry its the same, but I still don't get y they r cheaper, they suppose to be newer, and cost higher cos all that R&D michelin put in.

the names are confusing to think of the latter is a replacement of the PS2

If you're still interested that site charges $676 plus shipping for the Vredrestein, just $20 a tire more. I would be interested in seeing how these handled side by side with my Michelin PS2.
