Raced a r32 last night
So last night at around 10pm a r32 pulls up with just a guy by himself, I have my car full with friends. One friends says the r32 wants to race but I blew it off like whatever.. next thing I know is r32 down shifts hits gas! Im like ! ihit esp off, downshift to 3rd(this was from a roll about 50-100mph) he got the first jump and I'm thinking theres no way ill pull on him with 700lbs of ppl in the car! But bam! German anger was released on his lil VW and I start pulling on him! My friends and I are completely going crazy and laughing. I just wave goodbye and pass him by, till we hit the red light. Hes behind me, and I give him time to pull up beside me, But he just trails me till we hit around 100 and he slows down and makes a U-turn.
Was a great race! now I can't wait to throw in my K&N air filters and Headers later this month

LOL bet he felt stupid.. cuz he is....
no offense but sounds like that guy didnt know how to drive.
IF it was a 2004 he holds 3.2L V-6 240 HP at 3,409 LBS
IF it was a 2008 he holds 3.2L V-6 250 HP at 3,547 LBS
both on AWD platform.
your car (my dream lol) 3.5L V-6 268 HP at 3,615 LBS + 700LBS (most likely less) = 4,300LBS give or take.. RWD
His ratio is 14lbs/1 hp while you are 13lbs/1 hp... wait.. damn thats close nvm ! lol
but in all seriousness his awd should of left you wanting skinnier friends.

I believe he had the 2008 3.2l v6 250hp but the AWD didn't help out much since it wasn't from a dig. Wow i thought the 350 was rated at 3498lb, didn't know we're so heavy. All i have done is x-pipe and muffler delete so I'd say im running 270hp hahah

Gives me a better reason to start buying carbon fiber parts
One of my friends is into the JDM scene and he does photo shoots for a bunch of them. And I fell in love with the pic He's actually in the process of selling his SI and looking for a White evo9. Only problem is were both in the 3 point club So hes waiting for his points to drop down.

wow. i have an 08 r32. Before all my mods, I raced it against my c300 a couple of times and he would pull to about 100 and then I would start to pass him. By 130mph, I would be a little bit ahead. A C350 should do the job regardless of all that extra weight. A lot more power and like you said, the AWD doesn't do much from a roll. I have to tell you though, when you shift into Sport Mode, that car can do some serious damage. Now that my mods are in, I beat my C by about 7 to 8 cars by the time we hit 110mph.

yeah not smart, our cars are slow as hell but their not as heavy compared to heavy competitors. ive raced 09 honda accord v6 and its an even race even though he has 271 horses, i know thats not much of a diff but still. and yeah its all about how you drive your car also, ive raced the new maxima (290 hp?) it stayed a nose in front but my cant didnt trail at all.. raced another one and beat it but it was trough traffic ( not smart i know) but yeah its all about how you drive.

I live in a town of 40,000 ppl so not much ppl at 10/11pm. And the race took place by friends house near outskirts of town, near the farms.
And why not race with friends? Every time you google a c63 vs (example) It's usually a driver and the friendly camera guy.

i dont think it has much to do with the driver if you are going straight. If you race through traffic, then its on the driver. I pulled on the Acura Tl AWD (305 hp). when I race my brothers E350 RWD, he pulls away around 80 and gets a car and a half lead and stays like that. My friends g37 does nothing against us.

Because it is illegal, dangerous and something that should be left for the track.
I spent four years working in a trauma center and it is idiots like you, who think that racing on the street is just fine, that always showed up either DOA, brain dead, quaded for life, etc. That didn't bother me anywhere near as much as the innocent people that lost their life, or quality of life, because of the selfish, careless and asinine actions of others.

Well I ment with his car since it was manual, could be shifting early, late, miss a launch, launch to early, skip a gear..etc.
Like the g37s i raced a while ago it seemed he just stomped the pedal instead of using the tiptronic they have witch would result in my sense a bad driver.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a stick in the mud, stay in first gear, don't drive and enjoy your car kind of person. The problem is that a large majority of people just don't have the self control or common sense to do something like street racing. They may try it once in the middle of nowhere and enjoy it...the next thing you know, they are slaloming down the interstate at twice the rate of speed as traffic...
For your own sake as well as others, if you feel you must line up against someone, do it on a track or be very, very mindful of what is around you.

Well, we have crack house also...doesn't mean it is smart, healthy or legal just because we have them.
