I need to get me a rack as soon as possible for this holiday season. Does anybody have links of racks that you have tried that work? Also i would like it to be as cheap as possible.

Share your thoughts.

thanks

Yakima.com

They sell a wide array of bike, ski/snowboard roof racks for most cars. My friend has one for the C-class, it comes with a wind deflector too to protect your gear and equipement. He got it for around $500-600

There's somebody who posted here not too long ago... He just recently got a Yakima roof rack and sits perfectly well on his car, try searching for that thread

I know thule makes one but I haven't seen one installed on a C-class

Thanks. I will check the website when I get home. I did find a link on eBay for the OEM rack for 320 brand new. I will also call the dealer tomm to see how much they sell it for.

$320 aint' bad... Look into Yakima, it's not bulky looking and feels pretty solid

I will. Do you know if the Yakima ones use the existing holes on the top for installation or is it the kind that tie to the door!

Check with your AD and see if they rent them, would be a shame to buy it and only use it once.

The one on Ebay is OEM, I think the price is reasonable.

yup it does use the existing holes on the corner panels... I wouldn't get anything that is tie down to the door... it's less stable plus your car will be more vulnerable to scratches
