Yup, just confirmed with a tape measure to the pics I took prior to the install. Dropped around .750" the day off and settled another .250"+ since which was 5 days ago.

So looks like 1.2 front and 1.1 rear roughly.

Yup.. got pics of before and after?

If you look at the specs, the H&R SS drops a lot lower on RWD than the ones for the 4Matic - 1.2" vs 1.8".

I'm more than happy with my H&R SS, but I would def spend the extra money and get fitting shocks as you will wear the stock shocks faster. I went with the Bilstein B8 which are shorter and supports up to 50mm lowering.

I agree the super sport springs give a great drop for the money. Just get new shocks with them or down the road cause stock will blow. The sport sprigs how ever are a total waste.

It'll run you around $1000 for both shocks and H&R SS. Or for the Bilstein B8 at least.

It's a sporty ride, so you'll feel the road but not uncomfortable imo. Again it depends what you want from the suspension, I like to be able to feel the road and have a responsive suspension compared to people who wants to float on a cloud.

If you are contemplating coils, then they'll only run you like 200 more (H&R)

I'm curious in what manner are people saying the shocks went? Legitimate clunking or speculation?

My M is at 122k original struts on lowering springs. Just making sure we aren't starting a forum panic.

I can almost guarantee the SS progressive rate is likely barely higher than stock at its neutral load. Now if your roads suck and you are bouncing off the bump stops then it's more likely to cause a failure. However most stock shocks and in our case the sport suspension are designed to handle a stiffer spring rate.

That's why I said it depends on a lot of things 😉. Mine was done, they actually blew, clunking so I knew they were done.

I could have been very unlucky where other people have them last a lot longer.

By no means trying to cause panic as we have plenty other people who'll take care of that. I'm just saying if I had to redo it. I would have gone with coils or changed both shocks and springs. That's all based on personal experience.

Yeah. If you wanted it to be a more flush fitment you could use spacers.

Yeah but Forgestar are completely customizable so why not just order them with the right offsets lol?
