Do you guys tilt the steering wheel up when exiting and back down after entering the driver's seat or leave it in one position????
I leave my in the same position but it seems that its a bit ackward getting in and out when I do that.

No, it doesn't.
Its a 2008 C300 with P2 package.
It must have been included in your 2009 C350. That does tell me that its intended to flip out of the way when exiting.

Yeah I just realized that actually. My sister has a 2008 C350 and hers you have you adjust the steering column manually :/
I sorta don't get it...08 to 09, they traded power folding mirrors for memory seats and power-adjustable steering column...Why they couldn't have started off with all those functionalities to begin with is beyond me

Considering that I turned off the folding mirrors to keep them from wearing out (don't exactly trust the built quality of the motor assemblies), I would have rather had the memory seats and steering column.
One issue with getting the steering wheel out of the way manually is that when you release the lever under the steering column, it also releases the telescoping mechanism. Not sure if the telescoping is loosely fitted causing you to have to readjust it each time or not.

Mine is all manually operated and while I am 6" 1" and haven't had to move my wheel in the last 2 years.
The only time I ever thought about it was when I had my motorcylce boots on and the heels made it a little snug getting in/out.

+1. I've had folding mirrors on other cars and I really rarely used them or felt I needed to use them. I think they are more gimmicky and add substantially to repair costs for little benefit other than the 'cool' factor. If a package included it, I guess I wouldn't mind.

I have the automatic moving one for convenience in my 2009 p1. I would much rather the power telescopic wheel and memory seats than folding mirrors. Especialy considering that our vehicle is so small and narrow that the folding mirrors are almost pointless. That, combined with the fact that I park in bumblefu*k so I don't get dents from people makes it really a non-event.
I love this feature, I just wished that my driver seat also moved back a bit to let me out, my jeep grand cheeroke used to do that... Lastly, has anyone else experienced the motor on the wheel to move it up and down is a bit slow or loud when it is really cold out, or is it just my motor maybe going?

EZ entry
Only cars with memory seats do this. It was called "Easy Entry" in the W203 and was the source of endless trouble and warranty claims.

Though I figure that at some point the mechanism is bound to fail with constant use, I have the "easy entry/exit" active on my 2011 C300. Works well for me since I have the steering wheel set somewhat low. When it craps out, it'll get fixed under warranty .
One annoying problem is that with the steering wheel set in a comfortable position for me, the top of the wheel blocks the right/left turn interior signal lamps.

Tilt
Hey Jim!
Good news! I have a C300 2008 and the steering wheel does tilt, so try this in yours:
Click the right arrow on the steering wheel 5 times so you get to settings, hit ok, click the lower arrow 4 times till it says Convenience, click ok, then it will say "Easy Entry/Exit" make sure it is turned on by clicking ok. Then just exit the menu clicking 2 the return arrow.
I HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU
That way it will do it automatically when you take the key out.
