C-Class Coupé – undisguised
Autobild has some (2 1/2) pictures of the Coupé. Looking very, very, very, very, very good.

(The gallery also contains lots of pictures of the MOPF'ed saloon/estate, in case anybody still cares...)

I love the new diffuser and front bumper. The 2-slat grill looks nice, too, but the headlights might need some time to grow on me. I really like the wheels, too! If those come stock, that'd be amazing.

That looks GREAT! wow!! I'm surprised the small amount of camo that was left on a few of the spy photos hid all that greatness... that car's a winner
I'd buy that in a heart beat

pics are great but for sure we will get one covered in horrible orange peel instead of the perfectly smooth glass finish in the pics LOL

Wow. My lease is up in August. This has me very excited. Love the 3/4 rear view with the new diffuser and the larger fender flare. Also, really like the 2 slats on the front. I think the new lights blend well with the over design. Also, that frunt bumper is gonna look great on the sedan with AMG sports pack.

I find them to be ok on the Coupé, which is after all meant to look a bit sporty, but I still am at odds with them on the saloon/estate. The old front end is rather restrained and might have a shot at timelessness (only time will tell, though). These new headlights are completely over styled. Not that headlights have to be simple, I love the new CLS lights although there is a lot of stuff going on. But these new C-Class headlights have so many elements (strip on the bottom! C-swoosh on the inside! big tube on the outside!) that don't seem to be tied together. It is not downright bad and the new shape makes the car look wider, but it all seems a bit over the top.
Still, the Coupé is a fantastic looking car! I didn't much care for the CLK. The current E-Class Coupé has some very good angles but also some rather odd ones.
Now that the C gets all the higher end driver aids the gap between this and the E Coupé is going to be rather slim. Autobild's article states that this car is going to be a 2-seater, which I find hard to believe, it's not really a small car.

If that is true, I think it will limit the desireability of the car (in the US). Even my old E36 M3 coupe had two rear seats that could seat two adults fairly comfortably. I guess nothing is really official yet, from what I could see. MBUSA web site only shows the 2012 CLS under "future cars".

Not only in the U.S., but just as much here in Europe (if not more). As I said, it really is very unlikely that it'll have only two seats. Even the current CLC has 4 (5?). And Autobild is not really to be trusted when it comes to such predictions.

Perhaps somewhere a document was mis-translated and it meant to say the back seat only holds two, instead of three across. This would be similar to what VW did when they launched the CC version of the Passat, supposedly to be "sportier", but in reality to cope with the lower roofline versus center seating position.

Rear headrests were visible in almost all spy shots, and they'd never make this car a two seater..it's the practical Benz, not a sports car

Overall it is nice (love the interior), but I am not crazy about the side view. It doesn't look like a Mercedes, especially with the Huffmeister kink of the c-pillar (very BMW-like).
I prefer the look of the E-class coupe as it follows the the same design direction of the CL-class, which this C-class coupe does not.

I love the E coupe from all angles but the side profile. The greenhouse is just awkward, as is that odd little rear window.
I remember I was in my car with a friend a while back and an E coupe drove by. He said "wtf is that Benz..looks like a coupe with a sedan profile..doesn't work like its reverse, a sedan with a coupe profile (CLS)" or something of that nature. I tend to agree.

I'm not sure I see what I expect will be $10-12,000 of difference for the same platform vehicle (E Coupe = $48k). I have not done a content analysis on the E, but the differences must be significant. It's not in the design.

I actually just saw this in PERSON yesterday. I was shocked to see it... I had just gotten off the 59 Street Bridge in NYC and was waiting for a light and there was a condo (multi-million) with its garage opened and this beautiful car in black sitting there with his/her drls on. I just sat there staring... beautiful car.
