Hi I have installed a C63 Steering Wheel (with Paddle Swift) on my w204 C200K, but can't seems to make the Paddle Swift works, can anyone advise how this could be done. cheers

does your c200k comes with paddle shift stock? if not.. it is more complex than swapping alone

No the original does not come with the Paddle Swift, i have changed to C63 Steel Wheel with Paddle Swift and would like some professional advise on how to make this work.

You just need to bring it into your dealer. They'll configure it for you for either free or a small charge. It's just a matter of them telling the computer that you have shifters.

How much did you pay for the wheel and where did you get it ?

It's doable - but it's not that simply (it's not as simply as telling Star you have retrofitted the wheel), and I've yet to see a dealer do it. Find an local Merc Indy with StarDiag and have them do it.

Thanks guys for all your comment, My local MB dealers are not able to do it as they said they have to re-programme the control Hardness in order to change this, so they are not willing to try simply because C200K comes with 4 speed gear shift, if it is a C300, they have no problem with it at all!
I am seeking help from the forum if anyone has done this changes before and how they get it done, i know this is very complicated but i know it can be done by knowing the right steps and ways to do it so hopefully someone can give me a professional advise!
The C63 Steering Wheel costed me USD 3600.00.

Hmm, didn't realize that you actually have a completely different gearbox in the car. Ignore what I said above - my experiences have been limited to the 7g gearboxes.

woo.......this is really great news, but your contact is in Singapore, I live in Shanghai! how can this be done? did he modified some wiring in the Steering Wheel? how he did it?
i don't have to modify the Steering Wheels because it is original C63 Steering Wheel which i have installed. Can i have the Work Shop Telephone Number so that i could call and check with them the modification details. Thanks mate, this is really great news to me.

Hi thanks i have found the workshop, they have recommended me to buy a Control Module then they said it will work, i am waiting for the control module to arrive next week and then see..........what happen, keep my finger cross that it will work! thanks rssid for your kind assistance. cheers.

Sad to say..............the paddle shift still not woking yet, have to try other solution due to the computer module part does not fit in the C63 Steering wheel...........have to seek help from Auto Spritze again..........

Since you have a different gearbox, the dealer, nor probably any indy will help you out. You need someone to actually write and modify the programming to your car. If you have tiptronic (automanual on the gear selector) then it is a step in the right direction. You can get someone to splice those wires to also send a signal from the paddle shifters when you move one. (The car will think you moved the gear shifter to select the gear.)

Thanks, but there is no space in the steering wheel to add in another cable signal linking the gear box transmission hence both the system in the steering wheel and transmission are control by the computer module linking to the main car computer system. there is another easier way of doing this only if Daimler agree so, they could add in the car computer system to allow the link from the steering wheel to the transmission but so far they have not allowing this on a C200K. still looking ways to make this work. thanks guys for all your comment. cheers

I believed your C63 steering wheel already comes with paddle shift as standard option, if you wishes to change to a C63 steering wheel just do it, it should work. cheers

may be it is cheaper in E-bay but beware, it is better to buy it from a MB authorized parts supplier. cheers.
