usually leave it in my pocket, but when i remember i move it to the front cup holder, which cradles it nicely and lets me easily glance down at the screen to see who is calling or read a text.

Not a problem with European BT SAP adapters, the phone transmitter is not active, just the BT connection to the SAP adapter. Even the car roof antenna is used while the phone remains in the pocket. A bit of a waste though when at this age the family jewels don't count much...

I usually just keep mine in my pocket. You can dial from the physical command buttons even if you don't have contacts transfered. Just punch in the numbers. Or since I have an iPhone, I hold the home button through my pants and say, "Call John Smith, Mobile" and it works.
If I decide to play music I keep it in my cupholder and connect it to my bluetooth blackberry A2DP transmitter in my glove box (since our cars don't support A2DP unless you got nav)...
One thing I think MB should change. If you press the accept call button on the wheel when your not in the phone menu, it should bring up the phone menu, and if you press it a second time, it should bring up recent calls and allow you call one of them with another push. (Pretty much replicate the button on the dashboard). It is stupid that it doesn't do this already. IT seems like the button is useless and only functions when your getting a call to accept, where as the dashboard button has all the above functions..

Found this on a site I frequent for my iPhone. Kinda cheesey but thought I'd share.
