anyone went through with the paddle shifter retrofit?
I am looking to install paddle shifters. My car didnt come with them and I know they suck as but I like using them on my 335 and want to install them here.
Has anyone installed them? Should I try to do it through the dealers? |
There is a thread where a member changes the steering wheel and had the dealer activate the paddle shifters.

I tried putting in paddle shifter retrofit but nothing is coming up.
if you happen to find the thread please post it, thanks |

I figured out how to enable it :)
Hi guys,
Know this is an old thread but it comes up first in google when searching ;) Anyway if anyway wants to know I figured out how to enable them along with the manual mode "M" for my 2010 C300 Sport 4-Matic using StarDiag (developer 09.2012)... You will need to change the variant code in the "VGSNAG2", which in my case I changed it from "Y1TI" to "Y207" and bingo, everything will work (you will need to remove and re-insert the key first)... If anyone does attempt to use this info, please be careful and only use the "Y207" code if your original one is "Y1TI", if yours is different then you will need another code... Anyway I hope this helps someone out there. I had to spend many hours looking at HEX decoding the variants (over a hundred!) and then trying, testing and eliminating invalid codes until I found the correct code. In the end there were only a handful of codes that actual fit this cars variant and only one that actually worked without any issues or errors after test drives :) Let me know if anyone has questions and enjoy!
