Hey man what's the chance I can swap my 4-5 sets of the old versions for 3 sets of the new V5s? I'm so tired of plugging and unplugging due to blinking etc. We replaced em once and they work well for a period of time but just don't hold up. If the new V5's are that much better my sanity would be saved!
Received my replacement V5 bulbs and got em in yesterday. Looking good so far but with these it takes time. I did notice that it was significantly harder to get the LEDs in the connection. I was almost worried I was going to break them due to the pressure required. Just an FYI. The again!
Elite HID Systems:The aftermarket's best HID system. The best ballasts, the best bulbs, and the best harness culminate to bring your aging headlights into the modern era!
HID Ballasts: The all new XB ballasts feature relocated igniters like OEM units, putting them far closer to the HID bulb. The lack of high voltage transmitted through wiring drastically reduces EMI/RFI (radio interference). Total system reliability is also improved by shielding the main circuit board from the static produced by these high voltage bursts on start up. (not to mention they're damn good looking!)
HID Bulbs: At the heart of the XB H7 bulbs is their perfectly aligned 100% Philips Quartz glass that houses a capsule from APL-USA. Using high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer; the bulbs produce nearly the same luminosity (intensity) as the amazing Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night!
Wiring: The HD Relay Harness features an all-new completely sealed double 40A Relays, 14 gauge stranded copper wire wrapped in durable black tech-flex mesh that looks like a factory harness once installed. No cutting or splicing here: there are only five connections and they're all plug-n-play.
Canbus Compatible: The Standalone Canbus harness substitute is recommended for European vehicles that display "bulb out" error messsages. They contain a series of capacitors and resistors to trick the car into thinking nothing has changed and help you avoid annoying lamp-out warnings on the dash.

One quick question, should these flat V5 bulbs be installed vertically within the housing or horizontally? I currently have the vertically with each "bulb side" being left and right rather than top and bottom. If it doesn't matter I'll leave them as is.
No. These as LEDs are digital in nature, they do not have the power up/power down cycle you see with halogen bulbs. They are instant on and instant off. There are multi staged LEDs that simulate the power up/power down you see in halogen bulbs, but those will get pricier based on how many illumination steps.
