2012 New LED Taillights

Hi guys,

any of you change your taillight to 2012 new C-class facelift taillights?

I got this part numbers from C63 forum:

204 820 1864 Right
204 820 5864 Left

Please need help to confirm this part numbers.

If any of you want to see the link: (DIY 2012 New Taillights)

Yeah, I have alked with someone who had done it. But they said you need someone with star diagnostics developer pack (dealers won't do it) to code it in so:
a) you don't get the error message if you didn't originally have LED tail lights
b) so the rear foglight doesn't stay illuminated all the time.

Why not just install AZN Optics new package to replace all existing incandescent bulbs with LEDs in the original lens assembly?

Well, the 2012 tail lights looks completely different. Most people probably wouldn't realize the new lighting pattern, but I definitely would. Look at it at night time when its lighted up. Doing mods to my car is all about looking different and unique. And living on long island where c300 and w204 are a dime a dozen is a very hard task.

Plus, I think they look awesome! Make the rear end of the car look much nicer IMO. Gave the car "what it was missing".

OK....I guess I am one of those people who would pass it with minimal reaction. Anyway, on a tangential subject (sorry within this thread), I recall you are still in school. You have such an strong eye for detail...are you in the Arts? If a scientist, you would be a great Histologist!!

According to the video posted on the second page of that thread, the brake lights are still not LEDs...

you just get the LED strips in the middle kind of like the bmw style rear lights

If you have the LED tails, do you have to do any coding?

Yes, even if you currently have LED tails or non-LED tails, you will need coding to resolve the fog issue and a brake light issue.

Check this DIY thread for detailed information and pics!
