Is 35mm offset ok? why are there so many of it for sale?

I have been searching around re: what the best wheel offset for my 2009 c300. I have learned that 40mm offset and above is best. I also noticed that there are more 35mm and less rims out there than 40mm and above. Has anybody successfully installed a 35mm offset rim? the reason i asked is because the rim i like is offered only on 35mm. thanks guys.

Lots of wheels for the previous model C class that used a different offset.

I've been dealing with this same issue, Chico, unfortunately our offsets are in the 50's and 35 is just too low and will stick out a fair amount.

35mm will fit and look good if its done right. If you do a 9.5 rear like a staggered set 8.5 and 9.5 you cannot go above a 255 or it will rub. If you drop your car you cannot use 35mm at all. The best setup is if you go 35mm same size all around like 8.5 with a 235/35/18 setup its sweet. sits flush to the fenders and rides nice. I had 2 sets at 35mm on my last C350

Jimmy- do you have a picture (showing how flush they sit)? I'd love to be able to run those 35 offset 8" front / 8.5" rear wheels on my current 225/255 tires and have them fit...

  1. I have new rims for my c250 coupe they’re 18x8.5+35 offset front and 18x9.5 +35 offset rear, will these fit and what tyres would I need?
  2. the current setup I have is the stock rims front 18x8.5+50 225/40/18 and rear 18x8.5+50 225/35/18
