Does the auto lock feature lock your car if you mistakenly leave your car unlocked? I have a 08' C300 and i believe it did work earlier on my car but now it seems to not work. Maybe im just paranoid.
However it does lock the doors when i drive.

Yes, My car locks itself if I left the car unlock when you leave the car.

I believe it auto-locks if you unlock your car, but never open any of the doors. Once you open a door, it doesn't auto-lock until you drive.

Me too!!!if u unlock your car never open any of the doors will be relock after few second !

Nothing new or amazing about this. My Mom's long gone '92 Lexus operated the same way.

Logically, that is in case you unwittingly hit your unlock button on the key fob, you wouldnt know you left the car open by accident. MB decided it was better to relock the car after a period if no doors are opened, forseeing this circumstance.

I agree... It is not going to lock it if you forget, ONLY if you unlock it but not open your doors/trunk.

Of course this is also independent of the function where it locks the doors once you hit 9mph... (A feature that can be activated or deactivated through the system menu).

im sure it did lock before if i left my car unlocked. I guess i'll call the dealer and get specifics on it.
