Looks like the PNs for the lights and the plastic surround pieces are confirmed, but I'm still curious about the other two alleged pieces you need ( a chrome piece for the front and some mounting bracket from the back)

Funny! I have a 2011 loaner with LED DRLs parked in my driveway. I was admiring them earlier and was really thinking about replacing the fogs on my '08 with these since I have to keep replacing them when they shatter. I did read on here that there is a program issue and you can't really use them as DRL, so that kind of sucks. :-(
OT: The other thing I really liked about the '11 is the chrome trim around the radio screen, that makes it look really nice. Anyone ever upgraded that?

If you wired them to your eyelids they could work as drls.. I will probably tap into the side marker circuit when I get these (after I sell enough of my old motorcycle junk to feel okay about spending 400 dollars on some LED lights)

you cant tap into any of the lights without getting an error on your dash, adding load to the circuit changes the amperage/resistance the system is looking for and sends a bulb out error. Anything you wire needs to be off an accesory circuit or the battery and if you want switching you would add a turn on relay from your lighting of choice. The way to make them work like DRLs on 2011 is to tie them to an accessory that operates the way you want them to turn on. You need a capacitor to kick the voltage down to around 3volts, the shop by me did an E upgrade to the new style hockey stick LEDs and they went right to the alternator tap, so when engine is on DRLs are on, looks/works very well. thats what I would do or an accessory that powers up w the key and is continuous

I'm on parts.com looking up LED PNs and Prices and stuff, here is the breakdown. I can't find the chrome finishing piece though...
Fog Bezel w/LED (plastic mesh) L - $30.60
Fog Bezel w/LED (plastic mesh) R - $30.60
LED L - $126
LED R - $126
Back bracket L - $18.60
Back bracket R - $18.60
Total so far = $350.40
Anyone know about the chrome piece?

I Just ordered all of the parts necessary for this retrofit - 390.60 for everything from parts.com. Relatively reasonable considering they are oem parts
Per side:
LED light
mesh molding
back securing piece
chrome led bezel

So you'll run a line from the stock DRL's down to the LEDs and leave the fog light connectors dangling, right? Will be interested in seeing what kind of connector the new LEDs are terminated with. You might have to cut the wires and solder/crimp on some spades to plug into the stock DRL H7 connector.

Actually what I plan to do is make a connector to plug into the back of the LED assy and in-line a capacitor to step down voltage, then make a connector to plug into the fog light connector. This will allow me to control them as the fog lights were controlled, giving me the option to turn them off at night if they are too bright.
We shall see how I make the connectors, I am picturing some female connectors pierced through a grommet for the LED side, and then some male connectors with a rubber shielding for the fog light connector side.
I'll do a little write up once i get it figured out

You could actually wire them as continuous feeds. The E class and S class have almost the same LEDs and they are full power day/night only the C kicks it down I beleive. Do a higher size cap like 70k and it will see like 2 volts instead of 3 and be 75% as bright during the day and just a little brighter than stock at night. I wouldnt want them if I didnt already have them if I had to have my parking lights on to have DRLs, it takes away from the look, the key is to have them going without the other lights if you ask me.....

Here they are! They look really good, however when the parts were shipped out someone didn't put in the driver's side chrome bezel piece for around the LED. Definitely a pain in the ***.
Overall, this is a bit of a project, but in the end it wasn't so bad.
So far, these are hooked to my marker lights with no issues/light out warnings. The downside is I can't turn them off at night. I will work on wiring them to the fogs when I take it apart again to install the other chrome piece
