DRL's at night

Is there an easy way to keep the DRL's on the bright setting with the headlights on?

Hopefully not, that would blind the facing traffic. As far as I know, you cannot code the car to reach this behaviour, you would have to modify the wiring (build your own power supply feed for the LEDs).

Why would you want this? The light pattern would not make visibility at night better anyway.

I asked my dealer the same question "can you set up the DRL always at the high brightness?" the answer is no. I thought about making the DRL fog light, and it is not.

I still prefer fog light in the Luxury sedan.

u sure it turned off? because the DRL brightness level is reduced so much when headlights are on that u can barely see any light source coming out from an angle. Or you may have the fog light button on, which widens the headlights angle but switches of the DRL

Yes im sure they goes off , have no fog light button in my 2011 anymore. Think i have to call my dealer if they can change it. Thanks!

On the W212 at least it is an option code in the data card that controls how the DRL LEDs behave, either go completely off when main lights get switched on or the LEDs dim when main lights are switched on.

No fuse or relay controlled by the SAM.
