Condensation in my Headlights

There was a storm recently in my area, and now both my headlights have large amounts of condensation in the headlights. Would this be an issue that the warranty covers? Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

I would think yes unless you had any work done somewhere else (front end / headlight damage). But yes, if water gets into the headlight it means it wasn't sealed properly and should be fine.

Turn the headlights on low for 10-minutes, then turn them on bright for 15-20 minutes and should clear it

Mine also had condensation after a lot of rain.
when i took out my headlights to paint, i noticed one was cracked in one corner and then when i took the other one out, i noticed the same type of crack forming on the same area, might be some kind of factory defect?

Im out of warranty, but i used a plastic hardening resin to just seal them back up

One of my fog lights had condensation forming every time it rained. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it for me. Not sure what they did but it was covered under warranty.

Well i took it to the dealership and they said that it had "too much" condensation in it and I would have to contact my insurance even though I am still under warranty. This sounds like a round about way to say that they just don't want to pay for them to be replaced. And I ask if the seals weren't on the headlights correctly then what does it matter how much condensations in it. Oh and the my xenon headlights went out because of this, so i guess that's why they don't want to replace it under warranty. How should i proceed, just call my insurance or try to talk to the service manager? -thanks for any additional advice.

Contact MBUSA explaining your issue and tell them what your dealer told you. From past threads and members' experiences MBUSA will approve the claim (if it falls under warranty) and tell your dealer to go ahead and fix everything. Contacting your insurance to fix this will raise your premium.

And don't forget to put down your phone number when you contact MBUSA. The last time I sent a message to them they called me back and sent an email as well. A very pleasant experience
