On another note, I took the car to a dyno for fun just to see what the factory tune/engine/etc was running. Given that the brochure advertises 150kW/500Nm... well, this is after 17 runs and the results were consistent.

ps. The above is AT THE WHEEL.
Fantastic numbers mate! FYI on the same dyno (different conditions as I went in Summer) I pulled a 278rwkw while still in run in period ~1000kms on the clock. I was happy lol, but you seem to have NO drivetrain loss at all lol!

I'm a bit of a cynic here but I'd say it's because they wanted the C250 CDI and CGI models to be more comparable on paper. The brochure currently says both CDI and CGI models produce the identical 150kW with torque figures of 500Nm vs. 370Nm.

ps. If anyone is interested, this is what the brochure for the C Class has the C250 CDI chart looking like:

(keep in mind mine is shown with the x-axis as km/h rather than rpm)

Well if I was choosing between the CDI and CGI I think I would go for the CDI. But I'd take a new 328i over both.

BMW keep hassling me to test drive the F30 335i... not sure if I want to take up their time as I think I'll probably hold off on changing cars for now.

Do you like the new 335i though?

Very Nice, true to German standards, crank horsepower is almost on par with who. Drive train loss on the CGI is only 10%

Love you pics! Make me Drool!

Hi Jacee, your car look really nice! Did your dealer have you to buy into their car protection package? My dealer tried to sell me their package (Maxim The Collection) when I paid for deposit on a new C250 CDI Estate. It'll only be ready & shipped here in end Oct. Rgs, Albert

Just saw this thread - bit late now but no I didn't buy the package thankfully. I got corporate pack so may be a bit different.

On another note, my C250 CDI is apparently in recall status and I need to take it in (non urgently) to get the injectors "upgraded". Just got called from MB dealership today (some... 1.5 years after I bought the car in June 2011).

E cabriolet 250 cdi
Hi,

Mercedes replaced your piezo injectors with solenoid. The ECU is replaced also. Correct?

Did you measure yet the car after the recall?

What was the torque value of your car em Nm, do you know?

In a MAHA dynometer, my E 250 cdi give 199HP and 472Nm with the lastest version of piezo injectors. With the solenoid injector, I didnīt measure yet.

Best regards,

Likos
