I was looking at the a3 tdi as well but was wondering how much it would require me to get around 400hp and good mpg with the diesel? I'm guessing a ecu remap for DD and one for speeding?

with the TDIs, don't even look at hp.....take a look at the Torque. It's fun :D

Yah I just noticed the a3 tdi has way more torque then the 2.0. Wow, I guess the a3 is in the mix now lol

j/k. I like e46 M3, but wouldn't touch an 02.

hahahha. Also Mini Cooper is BMW so you're joining their side either way

The thing the TDI is you can't get quattro wig it. Just front wheel drive. But then again once you put a turbo back exhaust, larger injectors, meth, turbo, and tune you wont care because you will be buying new tires and two are cheaper than four.

Yah I saw that :/ not a fan of wrong wheel drive :X Really think I'm going for the c350,
