anyone have a picture of 20's without drop?

was wondering if anyone has a picture of a w204 with 20's on, no drop. Reason for asking is cause I don't plan to do my suspension yet because I still want to enjoy the suspension of a brand new car. I do however want to do my wheels first because the factory ones are too plastic looking to deal with. The plan is to do Rims first suspension later but I have no idea how the car would look without a drop. If its too ugly I'll buy a set of beaters for the time being, as I refuse to drive around with the stock wheels, and then later on buy my wheels and suspension all at once.

also I know xpipe does not void warranty but I was wondering about retrofitting OEM tips to make quad tips. Would there be any conflicts? If anything it would exempt my pipes from being warrantied? (which doesn't cost much to replace anyways).

2nd cat back is fair game concerning warranty. x pipe and tips will not be a problem. the tips kinda hack up the pipes but it does look good. not so much when its on a lift though.

yeah i figured. but there was just no reasonable way to do oem tips. VIN number = obtainable but having to buying the mufflers just to get the tips wasnt worth it.

if you go 20s there are only a few wheels u can go with and the rears have to be 25 series to work w a drop. Thats all big money stuff, so if your not willing to dish out the cash stay with 19s, much better to work with on these cars. They look good at stock height and dropped, 20s are hard to pull off looking good with the w204

Im going coilovers not springs so all wheel options are open. As far as taste goes I know what im doing with my car. HRE 897s.

Also the 25 profo thing that's been going around is not true. My friend ran 30s in the rear on varianzas and klassens with supersport w.o rubbing

I tried 285/25-20's but the belts separated in less than a month. Went back to 255/30-20 they only separate every 6 months. The roads are crappy in the DC area and I drive 30k a yr. Oh and I don't rub in the rear even with 700+ lbs of passengers in the back seat. That was interesting to see all crammed up back there while my 105 lb wife sat in the front.

No Drop

I always thought 20's were a little to much but the ones who have posted pics are looking nice! specially you "Bathinghobo" I just wish these cars could achieve a really aggressive stance.

alot of guys on here w supersports rubbed with 30 profile in the rear mainly because of not enough offset. U could get away with a 30 in the rear IF you have enough offset, there arent many wheels with 50ish in rear available, and also if your running 9 or 9.5 or 10 out back that matters as well. I tell everyone with 20s to run 25 profile out back to be safe, nothing worst than spending 250-350 on rear tires and they rub because of size, not many places will let you test fit cause they dont stock the tires in 20s usually. I know theres like 2 guys that run 30 in rear, all depends on ur setup, ie spring heights and coilovers change everything, so does rim width and offset. Do some research and u see most people trying 20s end up with rubs if they are dropped, its only the inside anyway so not a huge deal I guess. I use an old school formula thats available to learn online that measures and equates stock wheel and tire diameter with aftermarket wheel and diameter sizes, then the offset I figure using my own experience with wheels and tires sizes, Ive done alot of expirimenting with the w204s

from what i see a lot of the people rubbing are running square tires. if you run round tires it shouldnt be a problem. if offset is an issue wouldnt spacers cure that?

spacers push the wheels out, we need to go in on these cars, thats why our offsets are so high, 90% of standard benz wheels is +35, alot of older and also high ends have lower likd 20ish (+20) offsets, we need +40 and up stock ride height and +50 ish dropped so spacers would reduce the offset making them stick out. The new Es share our same frame platform and use the same offsets, so thats helped the makers of wheels get more wheels in these offsets out to the public cause demand is double now with both classes and the high ends too. And yeah alot of peeps on here dont know about tires and how different brands run narrow compared to others. A falken 452 in 265-30-19 is thinner than a continental 255-30-19 if you lay them down, its hard to beleive some of the variances in tires unless you see for your own eyes. My last C I ran +35 offset and cleared out back w 255 in sumitomos, got a flat w sidewall bubble and was forced to go nexens cause they only had those without waiting days, so I did it w no choice at the moment. Same size tire as sumitomo and the nexens rubbed the inners, go figure. You definitely wanna stretch at least a size down from what you normally run, some guys on here do like 255s on a 10 inch wheel when factory uses 255s on 8.5 inch wheel to give u an idea. U can run whatever you like and make it work if your careful, I personally like a little stretch in my tires, makes the rubber look less and more rubberband looking, but you can curb ur wheels easier even with bead protected tires. Anyway ur going coilovers so you can adjust to where u just clear, if you wanna run them at bottom settings make sure you got the clearance. Post ur offset and tire size u plan on running and the brand and u will get some feedback on what peeps think.
