I wonder why the car is still there???????

the buyer must have been in shock after looking at the car in person for

the same reason as mine...

2012 C250 Coupe
I dunno if people saw my earlier posting or not. But do either of you two seeing the car recall seeing if it was a c250 or c300? I think perhaps the c250 will come with these cheap headlights, and the c300 will come with the nicer projector headlights (even if you don't get the lighting package).

The 2011 headlights will not fit in a facelift car, the dealer order guide that was sent to all the dealers (I have one on my computer but due to someone abusing trust I cannot be the one to let it off my desktop) it clearly shows the difference for the lighting pkg and non lighting pkg cars.

Update,

We just got our first C250 in today and it has the non-projector headlights. Also has a single exhaust outlet, waiting for the PDI so I can see what the new engine is like.

I know that c250 will have a single exhaust but c300 will have double.

I thought c300 was the only model available in U.S. market at this time.

anyway.. it is really disappointing me that car has the non-projector

headlight.... I wonder why dealer told me that it will come with the

projector housing .. they were very assured....

maybe they don't know what projector headlight is?

Today was the release day for the rest of the facelift 204s, I am about a 45 minute drive from the VPC in Carson so we get our cars reasonably fast, tomorrow we should get our first coupe.

I am getting rid of my 300 and getting an E350 Bluetec, I have lighting on my 300 but I am getting a P1 on the E, I do not drive enough at night to justify the extra $$$ for a P2.

At least E350's halogen and bi-xenon looks identical. When I pursued to get e350 coupe I didn't add p2 package either.

Now what... who should I trust..?
Dealer is absolute wrong, i was one of the first with the facelifted model over here and i thought i would have the projector lights also (withuot Xenon) , but no.

Was disapointed but i havent asked for it, i never thought Mercedes would go back to the old school.

Must say that the old school light have much better lights than my previous non Xenon projector lights.
If you have normal bulbs in the projector lights, you cant call it light, but more candle lights, so i retrofitted my previous car with aftermarket xenon and that was ok.

Let your dealer confirm by email that you will get the projector headlights!!

So that you can blaim him for the wrong info....

It seems to me that MB blended the the E-class headlight into one unit to simplify its production line to avoid having to switch headlamp styles between their " C " and E-class cars. I agree that the pre-facelift look with the eyelids look much nicer then the pic posted. I think that MB should accept owners design ideas before they make these ugly changes because i'm sure any one of us on this forum can come up with somethng much, much better. The old eyelids were so unique and looked so awesome with the fogs on!

In case anyone finds this thread and wonders about it, there's more discussion: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...g-package.html

Doesn't look that bad IMO but obviously I prefer the projector/xenons.
