Comand Update before Camera Installation
Hey Guys,
I bought a Camera and the cables I will need for the Camera Install. I was going to install it this weekend.
But my car is going in for service tomorrow. They are going to update the Comand HU with the latest Firmware.
Do I need to enable the camera before they update? If I don't turn the Camera on does the new software LOCKOUT the engineering mode?

Here's a link where the MB dealer could not successfully update the COMAND system.
The result? A new 2012 C350 Coupe!

Point being if you install the camera first and then the dealer cannot complete the update, they will blame the camera installation, so beware.
