Where is the blind spot assist sensor?

I'm planning on doing a vinyl wrap of the car but realised if they do the mirrors, it might cover up the sensor. Any idea where the sensor actually is?

I presume the other sensors used by Distronic Plus/parking sensors/etc can all be vinyl wrapped around the sensor or something.

i know the led where it warns you is a little triangle in the mirror itself.
as for the sensor, it uses the 4 corners of your parking sensor to monitor for oncoming traffic at a certain speed.

If you go into the engineering menu, you can see the frequency and status of the sensors.
Put a small piece of wrap over it and see it the values changes...

hope that helps

Thanks mate. So that means the mirror itself has no special sensors/etc and the only difference from a normal mirror is the little triangle LED?

Cheers

Correct. I also believe that besides the 4 corners, there are 2 sensors on the side of the car (perhaps within the rear door assembly) but I could be wrong...
