Winter tires

Hi guys
what you all think about Continental WinterConti TS810 tires? I have a set on my C220 CDI and am quite disapointed with on-snow performance. I have problems to drive up even slight slope road when snowed. I should say I frequently drive with unloaded trunk. Should I fill it up with sand to get rid of this problem or bettter to change tires?

The best solution is to purchase tires from the "Studless Snow and Ice" category, which will far exceed the capability of what you have now, such as Bridgestone Blizzak WS70. These have excellent capability, but should be mounted on the car once winter weather actually starts, as they will have more limited wear due to the softer compound which helps achieve their snow/ice capability. Expect three to four winter seasons of usage.
