The M278 TT was never installed in W204, you realize this, correct? What is your plan for exhaust including turbos and exhaust manifolds? There will probably be a challenge getting the front axle centerline where it needs to be for the front knuckles/uprights. You will need to use a transmission/transfer case assembly that works with M278, which then establishes the front axle centerline relative to the engine block/oil pan. What about engine height? Will it fit between the front suspension crossmember and steering rack, and the hood?

So many questions.

M273 fits perfect in 2010 c300 with m272 , why m278 not fit in 2013 c300 with m276?

Can you get a rear drive model? That might open things up for you a bit

Looks great. The M273 is a shorter stroke and smaller displacement engine than the M156 which was fitted in the W204 from MB.

Not surprising the smaller M273 fits in the large hole created for the M156.

Do more homework on the M278/M157 and tell us what you find.

Somewhat. You know the 63 model has a slightly extended front end. This is a 300 body.

I have a M273 motor that I plan on swapping into my c class, did you have issues with the ME97 ECU? I have the harness from the m273 and I bought the motor for $2000 from an S550 RWD with 71K miles. I’m planning on swapping it, but I don’t think that the the old ECU will work. Are you located near Dallas, Texas by any chance?

IG is JonTheTeaMan
Motor has been out for 3 days. Doing test fitment and transferring accessories to the v8 motor. I’ll make a new thread when I make real progress. All I need is my ECU to come in. I also have the other set of wheels for the rear when I finish (gold all around for a uniform look).
