Tranny & Tire Help!

I have a 2008 c300 sport staggerd with 35k on it. I'm having an issue with the transmission that I can't figure out. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear (auto trans) it feels like someone is giving me a nudge (push) from behind. I've tried resetting the TCU to no avail. The dealer has replaced the valve body and the torque converter to no avail. I'm stumped.

Also I have 26K on my Michelin Pilot HX4 and the tires are extremely loud on the car. I think the rears are cupped. Is this normal for this car at this mileage?
What do you recommend I replace it with?

Thanks in advanced.

I also have those tires on my 2010 C300 and they are the worst. I will be replacing them with either General AS-03, BFG G-Force AS, or Conti DWS. For the money you can't beat those three for the performance you get. Good luck with the trans issues. This is another reason why I bought a manual trans car. Less complicated.

I can't wait to get new rubber! Looking at the Conti DWS. I've seen quite a few positive reviews of this tire.

I have the Conti DWS on for about a year and half and I really like them.

"Michelin Pilot HX4 and the tires are extremely loud on the car"

How often did you rotate them side to side in 26K ? 4-5 times? Thats what's needed to stay quiet, by reversing the feathering wear cycle.
