New to the MB-World! pics of the build so far

Just purchased my 2010 C-300 not to long ago! 18" MMR GT1 on Continental Extreme Contacts. Blacked out the rear tail lights, and went with the magnaflow x-pipe which I absolutely love the sound of. Windows tinted to 5% all the way around. Next up is 2 Alpine 1243D Type R 12"s, then who knows from there. Always love to hear opinions of what I should do next! Thinking rear diffuser, rear spoiler, new headlights, black out the chrome with 3m vinyl? Any opinions?

First day home from the dealer! Old Is300 in the backround.

love the sound.. nice car.... any drone?

Karl09 03-09-2012 12:34 AM

Not one bit ! When you don't slam the pedal it gives a nice quiet purr, but when you WOT man does it scream! On the freeway you wouldn't have any idea it has an aftermarket exhaust. 110$ with install, it's a mod no one should pass up.

I have one sitting in a box, I can't wait till it warms up and I can have it installed.

Karl09 03-09-2012 09:47 AM

You'll be nothing but happy all day. Are the pictures not working for anyone else ? They show up on both my phone and computer for me

dgghostkilla 03-09-2012 10:11 AM

110 bucks you spent. i need you to fill me in i want this.

what did you use and how to install. explain in a barney style way

Karl09 03-09-2012 10:41 AM

Haha alright Barney style, it's called the magma flow x-pipe. Part number 10790, go to amazon its the 2.25" pipe size, should cost 80$? Cost me 83$ with shipping. Take it to any exhaust, customs, body shop. Drive away happy. Easy as that, it doesn't void your warranty or anything.

That's the one !

dgghostkilla 03-09-2012 10:53 AM

now at engine idle or normal driving is it quiet? same sound as before? and it only gets loud when you hit the pedal to the medal?

tanktube67 03-09-2012 02:00 PM

Welcome to MBW, your car is looking good

Karl09 03-09-2012 03:31 PM

Engine idle you cant hear it unless your directly behind the car, and once it warms
Up it sounds stock. Normal driving sounds completely stock, until you get above 3500 rpm youd have no idea it was their. In sports mode, man it purrs

Thanks ! I have no idea what else to mod lol

MoneyMike23 03-09-2012 04:07 PM

lower it... springs or coilovers...

LandSeaAir 03-09-2012 11:13 PM

Looks good.

You think if you ever wanted to put the OEM resonator back in you could that? Or is it once you cut it out, you stuck with what you welded on? It does sound good though, that 272 v6 really has a nice sound. Good price too.

As far as what else to mod, I'd say gloss black out the grill (but leave the chrome strips), black out headlight housings, remove lower door chrome trim, and perhaps quad exhaust tips to go with your xpipe.

Even though I'm not a fan of any kind of black wheels, I have to say that the MRR GT1s have grown on me since my daughter's W203 has them (19").

They actually look pretty good.
