Not sure what MB I just saw
Spotted on the freeway yesterday, never seen it before and didn't get a chance to take a picture/video.
-From the back I initially thought it was a C300/C350, except that the mufflers are "encased" in the bumper, rather than sitting under the car. -No badging on the back except for the MB symbol and some word in italics on the right, couldn't get close enough to read it -There was some kind of air intake thing going on behind and following the shape of the front wheel Any ideas? |
|
that was the first thing i thought of with italic badging and exhaust tips in the bumper..
|
Definitely wasn't a Maserati. Was -very- similar to C300/C350 body and styling. Also had the MB symbol on the trunk, though we all know that isn't the best indicator.

Just did some Google image searching....the air in/outtake was somewhat similar to the first picture below, maybe just not as 'aggressive' (at least from my vantage point)?
But the exhaust/mufflers were -not- similar to the 2nd picture, they were much closer to those in the 3rd picture below. http://www.mibz.com/wp-content/uploa...s-wald-101.jpg http://www.mibz.com/wp-content/uploa...s-wald-103.jpg http://stwot.motortrend.com/files/2009/04/15692969.jpeg |

$h!t. I've seen some aftermarket fenders on here that have vents behind the front wheels, but I don't remember where I saw them. Doesn't explain the exhaust, but it could just be a tuned/heavily modded 300/350. :nix:

Sure it wasn't a new CLS 63? From a distance, they match your description.

Where on Earth did you see this? Maybe it was a AMG mule of this W205 prototype/rendering?

Heavily modded C Class I'm guessing. Someone pieced some stuff together to make a combo they liked.

Lorensir makes a rear bumper for the C-Class with integrated exhaust.http://www.sportservice.lorinser.com/c-class-w204.html
