cant take off my wheels/rims

Hey guys

I tried to use the wrench to unscrew the bolts by going counter clockwise. but it won't even budge. Is this normal I'm pretty weak but I used some strength enough to make the car shake but still won't do it. I tried watching YouTube vidoes but it looks so easy in there

Try facing away from the wheel and use your heel to kick down a few times. Its quite easy but you need to have enough force.

put a longer pipe around the wrench and then push, it should work

+1 to leverage I did that when changing serpentine belts, but never considered it for doing the wheels. I never had trouble getting the wheels off though.

Sounds like we may have a case of the shop having the air wrench jacked all the way up and going to town on the lugs.

Well, only when I need to change the tire. Other than that, I take the wheel off on my own to do brake work.

If that happens I just stand on the lug wrench and bounce up and down till it gives, it usually works. Otherwise leverage will definitely work, get a long steel pipe, it'll amaze you how easy leverage makes it.
