The price of these must be insane. Imagine getting curb rash on these :wwf::wwf::wwf::wwf:

Is this a form of spam? You ask about a wheel and provide a link that has nothing to do with the wheels. Oh, and the wheels are ugly.

Sorry, updated the link :D

It's not really about the style, more about the concept because the style can be changed.

the wheels can be hydrographed with a carbon print, so these can be your regular aluminum wheels with a CF print over it.

The design sucks and who really has 20K just for wheels?

I think they use them on the SSC Ultimate Aero.

Whats great is that they are reducing unsprung weight. I've read that unsprung weight has a greater effect on driving dynamics than sprung weight. Even a 5 lb gain of sprung weight is, in a sense, better than 1 lb of unsprung weight. Obviously you wouldn't want to add weight at all, but if you had to :D

Until they mass market these, which I find hard to believe, the price seems too steep for anyone below a $700k budget.

Actually, CF wheels will have a significant impact in certain racing circuits, that's if they are ever safety tested and approved. In fact I heard our friends at SumoPower Racing are looking into these. (And yes, they are mostly made of CF composited with Scandium-Aluminium most likely... very $$$)

not an ugly design at all. it can have its benefits and drawbacks like everything else.

these aren't i assume, but you can take your OEM wheels take them to a hydrographer and get the cf print over it. basically any part that can be painted can get a cf print over it

That thing would shatter on impact from a rock chip just from highway driving. I'll stick to heavy solid OEM wheels :)
