Title says it all, how do I tell (visually) if a 2011 C300 Sport has the HK system in it or the stock Audio20?

Mine indeed DO NOT have that badge. If my speakers were noted at the dealership and in their online ad as being "HARMON KARDON AUDIO W/ 6DISC CD/MP3 CHANGER" yet there is no badge. Are there any that are badgeless? Did I get screwed; if so what now?

The HK system has a powered trapdoor that opens when the on button is pressed, revealing the screen.

The Audio 20's lid must be opened and closed manually and the screen is much smaller.

The screen does auto open itself when we start the car. It is also the 7in screen. Yet our speakers do not have any of the "badges" that we're talked about above.

It was possible to have the 7" screen - COMAND without the HK system.
Look in the trunk for the amp. - left side.

I will have to take a look once my other half gets home as she drives it.

Is it possible at all to have the HK system without the badge on the front speakers?

Any suggestions as to what I should do it there is no HK system in the car, yet the dealership advertised there was.

I apprecaite all the help more than you guys know. Thanks for taking time to post and help me out.

I"m not sure about the 2011 model year, but if i recall, 2010 cars with multimedia package did not include HK & Logic 7, as it was a different add-on. 2008-2009 came with HK with multimedia.

So the dealership probably used the description of a 2008-2009 multimedia package when describing your car.

I have a 2011 C300 with HK and the front speakers have the Harman Kardon logo on them.

I have had an 08 and 10 with HK and both had the lettering on the speakers.

I think there was a point when MB separated the HK system from the Multimedia option so as to raise the price. My 2008 has the original all for one price setup.

Since you have the original window sticker, are they priced separately?

Yes, two separate options with different pricing. The multimedia package was $2700 and the added HK system another $800.

Since the speakers/amps are HK and the multimedia unit in the center stack is made by Mitsubishi, you may just have a point.

when you set the sound settings does the screen show Treble, Base, Balance or Treble, Base, Balance and Logic 7 on, off, sound. If not the second you do not have HK
