I'm not sure where you guys got those part numbers... I just heard back from MBUSA, they said that it is not on USA model, but strictly a Canadian option/equipment. However, the owners manual is utilized by both MBUSA and MB Canada.
Are MB part numbers the same regardless of Canda/USA/Germany, etc?
Or did you guys take the US part numbers for the E-Class? Perhaps if those part numbers provided are specific only for the E-Class you may have better luck consulting with MB Canada.

Well that's a bummer. I've been looking for this compartment on my new US-spec C250 and was disappointed not to find it in place. This car has far fewer storage compartments than my previous car (05 Subaru Forester XT). My wife says that's for the better as "you don't need to carry as much crap around in the car as you did" but I do miss the cubby atop the dash and the change compartment. Maybe I need to buy a change purse and keep it in the car...
