How to program trans to "S" default
I just purchased a 12 C250, I think the combination of the small turbo motor and "E" trans setting is terrible. I think the match of the motor with "S" setting is much better and totally acceptable. My dealer told me there is no way for them to program the car to default to S and I must switch it to S each time I stare the car. Our 08 C300 would stay in S forever start after start day after day, not that there was a difference in the C 300 between the 2 settings.
I e a corvette that I can change, eliminate or alter almost every setting by using in the ECU by hooking my laptop up to the car using EFI Live. I find it hard to beleive that the dealer can't do something similar, anyone know?

The car was certified to Federal standards by MB to achieve CAFE credits using the E program for higher fuel economy. Neither MB nor their dealer can take the car out of compliance from the configuration in which it was certified. The technology to do this may exist elsewhere, but the dealer is not permitted, even if they knew how.
