Picked up my 2013 last weekend
Traded in my 2010 C300. Went with the 4Matic Sport again. Polar white. Premium 1 package, multimedia package, and keyless go. New engine is pretty nice (3.5L vs. 3.0L). Little more power and better mpg. Still getting used to the ECO Start/Stop. Updated Nav is a lot faster than the 2010 model and I def like the new screen a lot better than the old pop-up one.
Still had 20 months left on the 2010 lease and they managed to get me out of that and into this one for a lower payment.

If certain conditions are met (engine temp, cabin temp, etc) - the engine basically shuts off when the car is completely stopped and your foot is on the brake. As soon as you take your foot off the brake, it starts back up. There's an ECO indicator in the cluster that lights up when the conditions are met to let you know it's going to happen when you stop. But you do have the option of shutting it off.

I still dont get why the 3.5L engine is so detuned to only 248 HP (less than the old 272 HP 3.5L) when the same engine in the C350 is tuned to 302 HP.
Or is it the same engine? One would think that this "less is more" trend, like the C250 which has more torque from a smaller engine than the 3.0L it replaced in the C300, would continue. In the C300 4Matic "more is LESS", more engine with a lot less of everything.
Can somebody explain this? Or can this get the ECU retuned to 302 HP? Thanks.
BTW morph860 is paying less for MORE here, so congrats.

ECO button
Has anyone found a way to permanently disable the ECO mode at startup?.. true is as simple as pressing the button to turn it off at startup.. still.. would love not to everytime.

No one cannot. The W204's computer always reverts to ECO mode on startup, even though Sport mode (or M mode for those with paddle shifters) was the last Mode selected. Sorry.
