Question Spark Plugs replacement

Hi there,

I am thinking of replacing the spark plugs of my C300. According to Rockauto Auto Parts website, the NGK 4288 and Champion Iridium 9408 seems fit our car.

Which one do you recommend, or I should stick with Bosch?

Thanks in advance,

royruan

The ones I got here in Hong Kong for my C200 were NGK's OEM.

I haven't had to replace the spark plugs in my w204 yet but I have replaced them in a relative's scion. From the research I've done, NGK is the largest oem supplier of spark plugs and they had positive reviews. The scion was meticulously maintained so we didn't notice any improvement in performance, but we're glad they didn't cause any problems either. I'm sorry I can't say anything else about them, but they're just spark plugs. As long as they're built to last (we chose iridium) and do their job, then I'd recommend them.

Preferably, you should stick with oem. I don't know which brand is oem so maybe someone can chime in.

Look in the owners manual. It gives you two options I believe.

Look those two options up on Amazon or Rock Auto if you're certain it's the right part number.

Stay with the two options in the owners manual.

I'm going to do this next year as well. I should have done it this year, 5 year mark. However, I have just 39,000 miles and since I will be doing the engine air filters again next year, it makes sense to do it at the same time.

Good luck!

Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, BMW, MINI and more!
FWIW, OEM is Bosch YR-7-MPP-33 but NGK is a suitable replacement.
