Tint Thread

What's up guys,

I just decided to create a thread with us fellow members showing off our tint lol. I've seen it on other forums, and thought why not on here too?

Post pics of your tint and what percentage.

I have 20% on all side windows, but then only 38% on my rear window. The dealer wouldn't allow me to go any darker on the rear window, I'm not sure why. I plan on either laying another layer of tint on top of the rear tint or just redoing to it about 5-10%. I also plan on tinting the windshield another 30%

Thank you for this thread!! I'm looking to get my window tint too but I don't know which one to get...

Can someone please post a pic with 35% on a black car?

Ahhh i cant decide either. I use to have 20% on my Gti back in the day but i got pulled over once. Now i feel like i should just get 35%.

I'll be getting 35% on my black C300 tomorrow I think, if they have time. I will post pictures afterward!

You get a chance to take some pics yet? I can't decide to keep mine without or not. Had 35% on my old car, but it always felt so dark inside.

Thanks for reminding me! Let me post one here in a sec. I'm mobile at the moment.

Edit: Here's one. Let me know if you need one from the inside. Honestly, with 35% it doesn't look dark from the inside. Let me know if you need a pic from the inside.

I was going back and forth between what to get, I have always done 20% all around and loved it but this time because the benz has slight tint from factory I decided Id do 35% on the sides and 20% on the back window and with my steel gray and black interior it looks amazing!!!

FYI -- When I spoke to my tint guy about the slight tint already existing... he said that just means that they don't have to tint it with as heavy of a tint. Meaning, it will come out to be 35% regardless.

Just making sure. :)

well maybe that is true but it came out looking as good as my audi and gti with 20% all around light enough during the day to keep cops away but keeps sun out and privacy and at night cant see at all really

Thanks for the pic. I'm considering just doing a 50% or so, that way I get a little privacy and a little protection from the sun but its not quite as dark inside the vehicle. I wen't with my grey interior because I was tired of a black dark feel inside my car :/

:)

But as far as I know, 35% is basically the minimum standard I've ever seen at a shop. Honestly, I did not notice much of a difference when looking outside of my vehicle.

Up to you, though! Take some pics when you've got it done.

I decided to go 20% all around, but only because I have the panoroof. If I didn't have as much light going in, I'd go 35% front and 20% rear just to be safe. So far I've been lucky with the local PD. One of them pulled beside me at a light, looked at my direction but moved on.
