When winter takes a holiday and a midwest January day is sunny and 60 degrees, and the snow melts, what to do? Some head for the golf course and some head for the hose and bucket!

I wish I knew your address, Sport. I would have dropped my car off, just in case you were still in the mood :)

how often do you guys wash your cars? i wanna do it weekly but either rain or snow ruins it haha

OCDBenz 01-12-2013 08:11 PM

I do mine weekly in the Spring, Summer, and Fall when I have access to the hose in the condo complex. During the winter I have to wait until a decent day then I use the car wash at Andrews AFB, but use a bucket. I try to seal and wax it every season.

This afternoon I washed my C300. Temp was 34 degrees F. When I pulled it inside to dry it, it had dropped to 32 deg.

Wasn't all that dirty but........

Ditto here. 27degs in the AM, 35 now. Washed the car AND took the Xmas lights down. Hands and ears were numb for a while! I recognize my car again though! :)

I just washed my c and glk this afternoon on a 1 degree outside temp. Did everything like it was the middle of summer. I cant stand not washing my cars every 2 weeks specially in winter as the salt and dirt accumulates like it wont come off if you leave it on the panels. I also have a dedicated hot and warm water hose just for washing in winter.

Nope. I always wear single use vinyl gloves whenever doing any car work plus the bucket water is warm.
