$990 for UMI system
Called the Dealership to asked on pricing of the UMI system and at first they did not know what that was and had to call me back (concerned). They called me back and said it would be $990 + labor. I asked about labour and they said they have never done one and would take 3 hours+. I said I would call them back when if I want to go ahead. I am worried they have never done a install like this and second the hourly rate for there works is super expensive . Any recommandations

UMI
UMI was running about $1100-$1300 one year ago for the unit alone. So $990 is definitely a step in the right direction. I had it installed in my 09 C300 in March 2012 for $1700 [parts, labor, tax] out the door. Took the dealership pretty much all day to get the darn thing installed properly [which I believe required a call to the mothership to get it completed]. If they haven't done many, it could take them much longer than 3hrs. You may want to try and negotiate an out the door price on the labor if possible so the meter doesn't infinitely run on you. There's an MB dealer on Ebay selling the units for $990 as well (which would save you on tax). Well worth the investment - although, the bluetooth streaming audio is spotty with my Samsung phone. Worked much better when I had an iPhone. Good luck!
